Effect of The Drug-Pad Mox ibustion Cauterizer for Low Back Pain

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate effect of The Drug-Pad Moxibustion Cauterizer for low back pain.
Methods: 14 patients have low back pain for less than 3 months. All patients were only treated with The Drug-Pad Moxibustion Cauterize with the multiple heating-pad. Moxibustion treatments were operated 3times a week, total 12times. At before treatment, after treatment, we measured Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), Pain Rating Score(PRS). And we assessed body temperature(before treatment, after treatment) by D.I.T.I.. Statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS program.
Result: The average score of VAS and PRS was decreased. The decrement of VAS and PRS were statistically different(p<0.05). The comparision of temperature(ΔT) was not significant statistically.
Conclusions: In view of the results so far achived, we get the idea that The Drug-Pad Moxibustion Cauterize is useful to reduce low back pain.
